THIS story must be told. What the title indicates is only the way the incident is being looked at in a press release. But what happened on Tuesday morning at the pier of San Pascual, Masbate could go deeper than a mere extortion incident. It tells of corruption in government so flagrant that its perpetrators virtually flaunt their despicable act. Worse, it depicts a setup whereby those whom voters installed in office in order to protect them against harm are the very ones who take no caution in throwing them in harm’s way.
