Cargoes entering the ports cannot be carriers of the 2019 novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) as health experts repeatedly assured that a person can only acquire the virus by means of physical contact with an infected individual.
This was stated by Jay Daniel Santiago, general manager of the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) during a press conference on Feb. 7.
