Filipina shares Australian Open Jrs doubles title with Indonesian

Teen tennis sensation Alex Eala made history as the first Filipino woman to win a Grand Slam title.

The 14-year-old Eala and her Indonesian partner Priska Madelyn Nugroho crushed Matilda Mutavdzic of Great Britain and Ziva Falkner of Slovenia, 6-1, 6-2, to rule the 2020 Australian Open junior girls’ doubles tournament on Friday in Melbourne.
