Reliving a piece of untold history

Ever since the film “Quezon’s Game” premiered in 2019, more Filipinos realized the little known open-door policy of the late Pres. Manuel Quezon that greatly impacted the lives of thousands of Jews who sought refuge from the horrible Holocaust. But there is more to this big screen depiction.

Although the Raymond Bagatsing-led cast gave stellar and realistic performances in the film, it can be argued that nothing can be more real than hearing the accounts from Manilaners — the name given to Jews who fled from the Nazi Germany here in the country — themselves.
