CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY: A police general survived an ambush early Wednesday in Talakag, Bukidnon that killed one of his escorts and wounded three others.

Col. Ruel Lami-ing, police provincial director of Bukidnon, said Brig. Gen. Joselito Salido escaped unhurt and was safely secured in a nearby village while his escorts engaged the armed men believed to be members of the New People’s Army (NPA).
