MARIVELES, Bataan: A relative of a Abu Dhabi domestic helper who allegedly died from suffocation appealed on Saturday for help in bringing her home and investigate the cause of death. Mary Jane Reyes, 32, who left barangay Alas-Asin, Mariveles on February 2019 reportedly died while burning coal to warm the house of her employer in Al Ain, Abu Dhabi last January 13. The mother, Nancy Reyes, 51, said her last conversation with her daughter was a day before the accident. Nancy said she was informed that her daughter’s companion from another country also died. She said the Manila-based agency suddenly stopped talking to her. Nancy claimed they still have contact with her daughter’s agency. “Before they were communicating with us but suddenly they cut the line,” she said.
