The Northern Police District (NPD) seized illegal drugs worth almost a million pesos in separate operations in Quezon City and Malabon City on Wednesday. Police Brig. Gen. Ronaldo Genaro Ylagan said 75 grams of crystal meth or shabu, with a street value of P510,000, was confiscated in a buy bust in Barangay Sangandaan. Police also arrested five suspects, namely Amor Furraganon, 41; Alexander Genesis Tobias, 24; Jerick Ximon de la Cruz, 28; Maria Gwendolyn Belloc, 42; and Ronaldo Petino Jr, 27, in the operation.

Meanwhile, three drug offenders were arrested in Malabon. Authorities recovered 61 grams of shabu valued at P414,800 from Jonathan Swing, 29, during a buy bust in Barangay Tugatog. In Barangay Longos, authorities nabbed Aldrin Atok, 19, along with Patrick Apolonio, 23. Seized from them were 5 grams of shabu with an estimated value of P30,940, two .9mm caliber with live ammunition and other drug paraph ernalia.
