5 Sayyaf men killed in AFP ops in South

ZAMBOANGA CITY: Security forces killed five Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) terrorists in separate clashes in southern Philippines, where operations against the group affiliated with the Islamic State (IS) continue in the restive Mindanao region, according to officials.

The officials on Monday said four gunmen were killed in the weekend fighting that also injured a soldier in the village of Lakit-Lakit in Tawi-Tawi’s Sapa-Sapa town after Marine soldiers tracked down the gang.
