Downing of Ukrainian plane and the world that never learns

MAURO GIA SAMONTE

TO begin with, I must disclaim any expertise in aviation, much less in anti-ballistic missiles technology. I just can’t help but express my view on the tragic downing of the Ukraine International Airlines Boeing aircraft that was shot down hours after the round of some 20 missiles that Iran fired at United States airbases in Iraq on Jan. 5, 2020. As we all know by now, although those missiles hit the targeted areas, care had been taken that none of them would injure any US troops.
