THE Makati government has closed down a karaoke bar inside one of the city’s hotels after authorities discovered that it was also operating as an alleged prostitution den, following the arrest of two foreigners identified as Taiwanese.
Its Business Permit and Licensing Office said the closure order was served to karaoke bar owners Shih Fang Chen, 65, and Po Yi Chen, 55, for operating without a mayor’s permit under Section 4A.01 of the Revised Makati Revenue Code and for violating the Expanded Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2012.
