Migration selection system ain’t broke. Why fix it?

UNLESS there’s a drastic change in migration sentiments in receiving countries coupled with or outside an economic Armageddon or political upheaval resulting in new political coalitions, the points-based immigrant selection system of Australia, Canada and New Zealand will remain the same, with preference on skilled migrants or potential permanent residents already in the country as international students or temporary foreign workers.
