President Rodrigo Duterte has challenged Communist Party of the Philippines Founding Chairman Jose Maria “Joma” Sison to return to the Philippines for a one-on-one meeting before holding formal peace negotiations, Presidential Spokesman Salvador Panelo said on Thursday.

“The President is daring him to come to the Philippines and have a one-on-one talk with the President. No government panel involved, no panel on the communist side,” Panelo said in a news briefing.
