The Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) is eyeing Japanese expertise to help reduce carbon footprints in local ports in compliance with International Maritime Organization (IMO) laws and protocols.

PPA General Manager Jay Daniel R. Santiago said they are looking for technical cooperation with Yokohama Port Corp. to be able to formulate a master plan for a sustainable energy and to attain a low carbon port.
