Southern Leyte lawmaker takes oath as newest House member

SOUTHERN Leyte Rep. Roger Mercado took his oath on Tuesday as member of the House of Representatives.

Speaker Alan Peter Cayetano administered the oath, a day after the House received certification from the special provincial board of canvassers for Southern Leyte, which proclaimed Mercado as the winning candidate for the lone district of Southern Leyte. REINA C. TOLENTINO
