A magnitude 6.9 quake struck Davao del Sur on Sunday afternoon, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
Phivolcs said the epicenter was at 6 kilometers northwest of Padada, Davao del Sur. It was tectonic in origin and had a depth of 30 kms from the surface.
