THE creation of a subcommittee on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations (UN) would help the government realize the aims of AmBisyon Natin 2040, according to the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA).

In a statement on Friday, NEDA said the subcommittee — which the interagency Development Budget Coordination Committee (DBCC) approved on December 11 — would monitor progress on the SDGs in the Philippines, review SDG-related programs and policies, and submit recommendations to the cabinet level of the DBCC.
