UPDATE: James Deiparine wins gold to end 10-year medal drought in swimming

CAPAS, Tarlac: Filipino-American tanker James Deiparine ended the country’s 10-year gold drought after breaking the bad spell in the 30th Southeast Asian Games swimming competition on Wednesday at the New Clark City Aquatics Center here.

The 26-year old Deiparine clocked one minute and 1.46 seconds in the 100m men’s breaststroke to send the crowd in cheers as he reset a 10-year old SEA Games record.
