A few months ago, we invited a psychiatrist to our offices to give a talk on workplace mental health for our employees. It was a sobering afternoon for those of us who attended. The doctor shared with us a couple of cases where he was asked to come in and talk to employees to help them deal with the aftermath of a colleague who committed suicide. It drove home the point that workplace stress is nothing to scoff at. And that mental health in the workplace is an investment worth making.
