THE Supreme Court on Thursday dismissed the charges against former vice president Jejomar Binay for holding a second post during his term because they became moot after he stepped down in 2016.

In a resolution, the high court en banc ruled against the petition for certiorari and prohibition filed by Jesus Nicardo Falcis 3rd who accused Binay of committing grave abuse of discretion by sitting as national president of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines while holding the second highest position in the land.
