FOUR policemen of the Manila Police District (MPD) were arrested for alleged extortion, police reported on Thursday.Brig. Gen. Debold Sinas, National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) chief, in a report, identified the policemen as PCpl. Nickson Mina, PCpl. Juan Carlo Guzman, PCpl. Francis Mikko Gagarin, and Pat. Tom Hikilan.In a joint operation of the Philippine National Police - Integrity Monitoring and Enforcement Group (PNP-IMEG) and the NCRPO, four policemen were arrested at the Baseco Police Station 5 in Manila at 6:36 p.m. on Wednesday.Based on the report, the four were caught receiving the P200,000 marked money from complainant Alaysa Panansang.Panansang said that the four demanded money for the release of her husband who was arrested on Tuesday.The policemen will be charged criminally for extortion and also administrative charges.
