SIGNAL No. 1 was raised over parts of Samar because of tropical depression “Ramon,” the state-run weather bureau said on Tuesday.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) last spotted the LPA at 670 kilometers east of Borongan City. It was packing maximum sustained winds of 55 kilometers per hour (kph) and gustiness of up to 70 kph. Pagasa weather specialist Ana Clauren said it was slowly moving westward.
