‘Quiel’ may intensify into a typhoon before leaving PH on Friday -- Pagasa

SEVERE tropical storm “Quiel” is expected to intensify into a typhoon before leaving the country on Friday evening or early Saturday morning, the state-run weather bureau said.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) last spotted the tropical depression at 375 kilometers west-northwest of Coron, Palawan.
