New monument of General Trias unveiled

General Trias City Mayor Antonio Ferrer, Vice Mayor Morit Sison, and councilors are shown at the blessing and inauguration on October 7 of the newly renovated monument of General Mariano Closas Trias, on his 150th birth anniversary on October 12.

Gen. Trias was considered the first de facto vice president of the Philippines during the revolutionary government established at the Tejeros Convention under General Emilio Aguinaldo on March 25, 1897.
