An ageing Philippine Air Force Nomad aircraft crashed on Thursday in Cotabato City in southern Mindanao, killing all eight people onboard, including a senior military commander, officials said.
Maj. Randolph Cabangbang, a regional military spokesman, said that among the dead was Maj. Gen. Mario “Butch” Lacson, 55, and the commander of the 3rd Air Division in Zamboanga City.
