WASHINGTON, D. C.: Researchers from British institutions identified a type of immune cell in human breast tissue that makes breast cancer patients more likely to survive.

The study published on Wednesday (Thursday in Manila) in the journal Science Translational Medicine showed that a specific subtype of gamma delta T cells was linked to remission in patients with triple negative breast cancer, a hard-to-treat type of breast cancer.
