COOLER days are expected as the southwest monsoon or habagat season has ended and the climate has shifted to the northeast monsoon or amihan, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) announced.
“Recent observations and analysis showed that general wind pattern has shifted from southwesterly to easterly. Moreover, the strengthening of high pressure systems over the Asian continent has led to the gradual changing of the season,” Pagasa Administrator Vicente Malano said in a statement.
