THE Philippine entertainment industry woke up to the news of the deaths of veteran director Mel Chionglo and veteran entertainment editor Isah Red on Saturday.
Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) artistic director Chris Millado confirmed Chionglo’s death in a Facebook post, writing, “"Very sad to announce the passing of dear colleague and renowned film director Mel Chionglo."
