MORE companies acquired a more negative outlook on the country’s economy, while more consumers hold a more positive one for the third quarter, the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas reported on Thursday.
Results of the central bank’s latest Business Expectations Survey showed that its overall confidence index (CI) — computed as the percentage of companies that answered in the affirmative minus those who replied otherwise — fell to a still-positive 37.3 percent from 40.5 percent previously.
