Lopez eyes SRP on imported rice

Trade and Industry Secretary Ramon Lopez said his department was considering imposing a suggested retail price (SRP) on imported rice to stabilize prices.

Lopez said retail prices of rice should have gone down with the implementation of the Rice Tariffication Law, which allows the unhampered importation of the staple.
