A magnitude 5.3 earthquake rocked Quezon on Friday afternoon and was felt in various parts of Metro Manila and Luzon, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.

Phivolcs recorded the epicenter at 39 kilometers northwest of Burdeos, Quezon at 4:28 p.m. The quake was tectonic in origin and had a depth of 62 kilometers.
