THE Komisyon sa Wikang Filipino (KWF or Commission on the Filipino Language) recognized this year four prize-winning authors and an educator for their contributions to the continued development and promotion of the national language.

At the Pammadayaw: Araw ng Gawad 2019 ceremony at the Cultural Center of the Philippines in Pasay City on Tuesday, the state-run language commission bestowed the Gawad Kampeon ng Wika on Michael Coroza, Mario Miclat, Joaquin Sy and Galileo Zafra; and the Gawad Dangal ng Wika on Teresita Ramos.
