Shipping companies are now looking at biofuel as an alternative to marine fuel oil to meet the reduced sulfur and carbon dioxide emissions required by authorities.

The International Maritime Organization (IMO) earlier announced a new cap for sulfur and C02 emissions to significantly reduce the shipping industry’s contribution of pollutants that are causing climate change.
