The national fisherfolk group Pambansang Lakas ng Kilusang Mamamalakaya ng Pilipinas (Pamalakaya) has questioned the P520.2-million item under the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) budget that will be allotted to the aquaculture program.

The BFAR is allocating the amount for the aquaculture program by 2020 to improve local fish production, but this grant to such program is not right, Pamalakaya said in a statement over the weekend.
