Davao City is considered the largest city in terms of land area. The city is a sprawling 2,444 square kilometer-area that is home to about 1,632,991 million people based on the 2015 census.

Dabawenyos are mostly Visayans. The rest of the population are lumads or indigenous people that belongs to various ethnic groups.
