A military official on Sunday said there is no need to impose martial law in Negros Oriental, where a rash of killings claimed at least 21 lives.

Lt. Gen. Noel Clement, commander of the Armed Forces’ Cebu-based Central Command, said the situation in the province was “manageable.”
