Industry groups on Thursday urged the new batch of lawmakers in the country not to touch the fiscal incentives presently enjoyed by economic zone locators so they can stay competitive.

In a press briefing in Makati, the Semiconductor and Electronics Industries in the Philippines Foundation Inc. (Seipi), Information Technology and Business Process Association of the Philippines (Ibpap), Confederation of Wearable Exporters of the Philippines (Conwep) and Philippine Ecozones Association (Philea) called on the policy makers to retain their tax incentives.
