SEVENTY-SIX suspects of various crimes have been apprehended over the weekend in anti-crime and drugs operations in Makati City, according to the Makati Central Police Station. Makati police arrested three drug pushers and 17 drug users in several anti-drug stings last week. Chief of police Col. Rogelio Simon said they seized 41 sachets of suspected shabu and 13 sachets of marijuana, estimated at P21,838. Meanwhile, 11 persons have also been arrested for the crimes of estafa, riding in tandem, violations of the Bouncing Checks Law, illegal possession of firearms, qualified theft and physical injury. For illegal gambling, Makati police nabbed 13 individuals and recovered P1,123-gambling money and gambling paraphernalia. About 294 people were also apprehended for violating city ordinances.
