THE most senior member of our Philippine Ambassadors Foundation Inc., Ambassador Rafael A. Gonzales, passed away on Friday night, June 28, 2019, at age 92. Two years ago, at the grand celebration of his 90th birthday tendered by his children at the Manila Polo Club, PAFI took advantage of the occasion to present Ambassador Gonzales a plaque of appreciation for his more than 30 years’ participation in various capacities in the organization. Even after he found difficulty in walking and had to move around in a wheelchair, AmbaGon, or Ralf as he was called in the department or by his friends, diligently and actively attended meetings and activities of PAFI.
