Comelec defers
senators' proclamation

THE Commission on Elections (Comelec) deferred the expected proclamation of 12 winning senators on Tuesday to give way to the canvassing of votes from Washinton D.C., which represents more than 200,000 registered voters, its spokesman James Jimenez said.

Jimenez said the more than 200,000 votes may still change the rankings in the senatorial race, particularly for candidates in the bottom third of the “Magic 12.”
