Tobacco tax hike ‘may stunt’ LT Group growth

THE planned excise-tax increase on tobacco products is likely to dampen the growth of Lucio Tan-led conglomerate LT Group Inc., according to analysts.

In an interview, Regina Capital Development Corp. head of sales Luis Limlingan said the tax hike “may stunt volume growth further” if approved.
