TANDAG CITY, Surigao del Sur: Authorities arrested Mayor Roberto Luna of Lingig, Surigao del Sur on Thursday and seized firearms, marijuana and P2 million worth of cash, which would allegedly be used in buying votes.
Police Brig. Gen. Gilberto DC Cruz, Philippine National Police Caraga Region (PNP-13) director, said police operatives implemented a search warrant at Luna’s residence and found the firearms and cash, all P100 bills, placed in white envelopes with sample ballots.
