USAid program turns 25,000 Mindanaon youth work-ready

The United States Agency for International Development (USAid) helped create opportunities for more than 25,000 out-of-school youths in conflict-affected areas in Mindanao where there is a lack of vital services, high rates of poverty, and a huge number of displaced persons and youth unemployment.

The six-year P832-million Mindanao Youth Development (MyDev) program of USAid aimed to address out-of-school youths’ needs for basic education, livelihood capacities, and life and leadership skills for civic engagement.
