TWELVE Filipinos, including children, are trapped near the Libyan capital of Tripoli as the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) renews its call for an evacuation before fighting resumes.

Chargés d'Affaires and Philippine head of mission Elmer Cato on Twitter said he was worried for the Filipinos "who remain in Salahuddin neighborhood where heavy fighting is expected to resume anytime soon. Several others were able to leave before fighting moved closer to Tripoli earlier today (Tuesday)."
