BANGUED Abra: Authorities seized assault rifles, three high-powered firearms and over a hundred bullets from the campaign vehicle of Tayum town mayoral candidate Jose Mari Brillantes.

Armed by a search warrant, police officers on Friday found two M4 assault rifles, an M16 assault rifle, two Para Ordnance caliber .45 pistols and another STI Edge caliber .45 pistol, and ammunition for the firearms from the Ford Ranger pick-up truck that Brillantes and his men abandoned along the road after they fired at Walter Tugadi, village chairman of Barangay Budac on Tuesday.
