BPO firms hit for 'inhumane' treatment of workers in 6.1 quake

A group representing business process outsourcing (BPO) workers called on companies to ensure the safety of their workers, after the earthquake which struck Metro Manila and parts of Central Luzon on Monday.

The BPO Industry Employees’ Network (BIEN) said in a statement on Tuesday that it was receiving reports that companies did not evacuate their employees.
