A soldier was killed in a misencounter between militiamen and troops at San Francisco, Quezon, the military said on Thursday.

Capt. Patrick Retumban, spokesman of the Philippine Army’s 2^nd Infantry Division, said a squad of soldiers from the 85^th Infantry Battalion was conducting community support program when it encountered a team from the Civilian Armed Forces Geographical Unit (Cafgu) under the 59^th Infantry Battalion.
