The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) expects corn production in the Philippines to increase by 2.5 percent to 8.1 million metric tons (MMT) in the 2019-2020 market year due to high prices.
In the Global Agricultural Information Network (Gain) report of its Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) in Manila, the USDA said the figure would be 200,000 MT higher than the 7.9 MMT recorded in MY 18/19.
