BoP surplus narrows; end-Feb tally tops $3B

THE country’s balance of payments (BoP) position remained positive in February but declined from the previous month’s six-year high, the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) reported on Tuesday.

The $467-million result — significantly lower than January’s $2.704-billion — was a reversal from the $429-million deficit recorded a year earlier.
