I teach at a Jesuit university and was recently asked to tell our 2nd year college students what programs they can choose going into 3rd and 4th year. I started my presentation by asking: how many of you came here to college to learn how to destroy the world? At first there was incredulous silence, some quirky laughter, and then three people raised their hands with proud affirmation.
