IF elected for a fifth term in the Senate, former Senate president Juan Ponce Enrile on Sunday said he would work for the enactment of a law that would give overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) job opportunities to entice them to come home.
Enrile, who is seeking a Senate comeback in the May midterm elections, authored Republic Act (RA) 8424 or the “Comprehensive Tax Reform Law,” which exempted OFWs from paying income taxes in the Philippines.
